This Homecoming, the Panther Battalion is honoring three defining moments of our legacy. We’re marking 40 proud years of UNI ROTC, 250 years of the United States Army and 150 years of the University of Northern Iowa — and we want our extended UNI ROTC family there to join the festivities!

Expect good food, great stories and the chance to reconnect with cadets, alumni and friends from across the years.

As we celebrate these milestones, we are pleased to announce that ROTC will remain at UNI, now as an extension of the University of Iowa program. Classes and training will continue to be offered right here in Cedar Falls, and this administrative change will be seamless for students and cadets. This partnership ensures that ROTC opportunities at UNI will remain strong for years to come.

Through every chapter, our mission has remained the same — building leaders of character ready to serve. Let’s honor that tradition together this Homecoming.
