How to become a site leader
Make a difference in your community as a UNI Day of Service site leader
Panthers across the nation know the value of community service, it is what we do. We, as a Panther Nation, give back in a myriad of ways year-round. Join us Spring 2026 and do what you do best — volunteer in your community.
We are looking for volunteers who would like to take a leadership role in their community by being a liaison between a service site and the UNI Alumni Association. As a site leader your responsibilities would include:
- Assisting UNI Alumni staff in identifying and setting up a service project.
- Serving as a liaison between the community organization and UNI, coordinating logistical details of the service project with the assistance of UNI.
- The UNI Alumni Association will reach out to all alumni in your area to help find volunteers. We ask that you assist by spreading the word through your own social networks.
- Be the main contact the day of and assist the site with logistics.
- We also encourage site leaders to secure snack donations for participants following the event.
Please send an email to alumni@uni.edu if you are interested in being a site leader or call 319-273-3093. Please indicate the city you live in and that you are stepping up to this leadership role.
