Promising Young Alumni Award

The Promising Young Alumni Award recognizes one or more seniors who demonstrate qualities desired of engaged alumni. A Promising Young Alumnus demonstrates their potential as a future alumni leader for the UNI community through their commitment to service, leadership and pride while enrolled.

The Promising Young Alumni Award recognizes one or more seniors who demonstrate qualities desired of engaged alumni. A Promising Young Alumnus demonstrates their potential as a future alumni leader for the UNI community through their commitment to service, leadership, and pride while enrolled.

Nominations for 2026 are due Friday, March 6 by 11:59 p.m. Awards will be presented at the Student Leadership Awards on April 14. 

CRITERIA

  • There is evidence that the nominee is active in the life of university and engages as a campus leader, mentor, or volunteer with a commitment to serving as a leader, mentor, or volunteer as an alumnus
  • The nominee demonstrates a continued commitment to UNI traditions and displays Panther pride
  • The nominee demonstrates an ability or willingness to promote and advocate for UNI and the student experience within their network to grow the Purple Circle
  • There is evidence the nominee understands the importance of forging ongoing connections with the university and the UNI community
  • The nominee will graduate during the 2025 calendar year
